In-Library Services

Computers

We have three computers available for use. Bring in your library card and check one out.  Sessions are limited to one hour.

Guest passes are available with a valid state issued ID.

Nintendo Switch

We have a Nintendo Switch available for patrons 13+ with parental permission for in-library use.  Please note, a parent or guardian must fill out a permission form before the Switch may be checked out.

Tablets

Two children's tablets are available at our circulation desk for in-library checkout. They are limited to PBS games.

Printing

We offer printing and copying services for our patrons.

• B&W prints are $0.25/page
• Color prints are $1.00/page

Faxing

Fax services are available. $3.00/fax.

Lamination

Lamination services are available for up to an 8.5x11 page at the rate of $1.00/page

Self Checkout

Skip the circulation desk and check out quickly at our self checkout kiosk. Please note, you must have your library card with you to utilize the self checkout.

Library Checkouts

Our library collections hold over 15,000 books, movies, and more. To learn more about the books we have to offer stop by the library or browse our books on our Online Catalog.

Interlibrary Loan

If we don’t have the book you’re looking for, we are happy to borrow it from another library within Iowa for you. This Interlibrary Loan program is provided by the State of Iowa.

E-Books & Audiobook

Through Bridges and Libby, we are able to offer our patrons access to thousands of e-books they can check out directly on their devices. Learn more on our Online Resources page.

Puzzles

We offer a variety of almost 100 puzzles for our patrons to checkout. Come in and see all the puzzles we have to offer.

Games

We have games for all ages available to checkout. Stop by and get ready for your next game night.

STEM Kits

We have a variety of kits designed to challenge young minds and develop STEM skills.

Activity Bags

We have over a dozen activity bags designed to keep young children entertained and engaged in reading. Stop by the library and check one out for your little one!

Binge Bags

Ready for a fun binge-watching day? Come in and check out our Binge Bags to find the perfect one for you.

Costumes

Each October, we offer costumes for checkout. It’s a fun and easy way to prepare for Halloween!

Story Time

During the school year, we offer story times on Wednesdays and Fridays at 10:30AM. Bring in your little ones for stories, songs, and crafts! Recommended for Preschool aged children, but all families are welcome.

Summer Reading Program

Tots, Kids, Teens, and Adults alike are welcome to join in our annual Summer Reading Program. Stop by the library to learn more about our summer programs! Registration opens each year on May 15th, be sure to check back then to get signed up for our program.

Tuesday Evening Events

We offer a variety of programming on Tuesday evenings, including a variety of creative events, puzzle competitions, and our Cook Around the World series. A full list of events can be found on our Events page.

Seed Library

Opening each February and running through the end of June, the library offers a seed library program. With over 1,000 packets of a variety of seeds ranging from vegetables to fruit to flowers, patrons can checkout seeds to begin their gardens. It's simple! Checkout, plant, and enjoy! This program is completely free and there is no need to return anything to the library.  

Please note: all seeds must stay within the state of Iowa.

Plant Exchange

A couple times a year, we host plant exchanges for our community. If you are a plant lover, be sure to join us for these great events! Follow us on Facebook or check back often for more details about our next plant exchange.

Family Fun Saturdays

Each month we host a fun family event on a Saturday. These events range from life-sized Oregon Trail, to Olympics, to our holiday party, and more.  Check out our Events page to see what we have coming up at the library.
