Library Happenings

We had another fun week here at WSPL! On Tuesday we had a visit from Paws & More and talked about dog safety. We all learned a lot about how to tell if a dog is nervous, scared or agitated and how to avoid being bitten. For our weekly craft on Thursday, we created water bottle carriers out of duct tape and koozies. The kids were all pretty excited about them!

We also announced the winners of our Adult and Teen Summer Reading Program! Check out our Facebook Post for a complete list of adult winners!!

Next week we start out right away on Monday afternoon with a musical performance from Duke Otherwise. He is an energetic and fun children’s musician. Come at 2:00 PM to watch the show! Next Thursday we will be making our last craft of the Summer and creating tile art using sharpies and rubbing alcohol.

Don’t forget about the end of the Summer Reading Program Picnic on Tuesday, July 31st at 11:00 AM at North Park! Federation Bank will be grilling Hamburgers and Hot Dogs! Be sure to tell them Thank You next time you are there! If you plan on coming to the picnic, please bring a side dish to share and your own drinks. We will have face painting, snow cones, and lots of other fun!

Have a great weekend!!
