March 2nd is National Read Across America Day. It’s a day to celebrate the privilege of being able to read, so head to the library, or curl up on the couch and just be a bookworm! This day was established by the National Education Association (NEA) in 1998 to help get kids excited about reading. With the advent of smartphones and tablets, it is more essential than ever to motivate children to read.
