We are really winding down for the Summer here at the library but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still some fun things going on! Last week we held our first ever Nerf Target Challenge. We set up targets through out the East side of the library building and participants could earn points for their marksmanship! Then on Friday, we had a visit from Skeeter the Clown. Skeeter is part of the Cullpepper and Merriweather Circus that will be coming to Wellman on August 20th. Skeeter showed us some of her tricks and kept everyone laughing.
We also have a few events next month to tell you about. Join us on the first early out of the school year for a Lego Build at the library at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 11th. Then on Tuesday, September 17th, kids are invited to stop in anytime during our normal library hours (10am-6pm) and adopt your very own Beanie Baby! Give your new pet a check up, design a collar, and get an adoption certificate! Next, mark your calendars and come to the library on Thursday, September 19th to the Scratch Curbside truck. Scratch will be bringing their delicious cupcakes to Wellman from 11 AM – 2 PM. They have sold out in years past so be sure to come early! And lastly, we will be showing our first Early Out Movie at the Library of the school year. We’ll be playing the movie Turbo on Wednesday, September 25th at 2 PM.
