We had a great time celebrating the 4th of July in Wellman! The library had an out of this world parade float. Our board member, Whitney Campbell, designed and organized the float and had volunteers help to make the planets and decor. It was a hot morning but worth the uphill trek! After the parade Ms. Carol brought the quilt that we were raffling to North Park during the festivities where she sold raffle tickets. We brought along our favorite face painter who added color and fun to the day! At the end of it we had the drawing for the quilt and Jolisa Bombei was the lucky winner! Congratulations Jolisa! What a great 4th! Thank you to everyone purchased quilt raffle tickets. The profits from the raffle will go towards the library renovation project.

We will be back with lots of activities and events next week. We’ll be playing the movie Planet 51 on Monday at 1:30 PM at the library, Blank Park Zoo will be here Tuesday at 3:00 PM, Space Walk Storytime at North Park Thursday Morning at 10:30 AM, and Toddler Time and DIY Craft Kit pick up on Friday.
