We had such a fun Harry Potter celebration yesterday here at WSPL! We made our own wands, mixed up a drinkable potion, and watched The Socerer’s Stone using an interactive script. If you have no idea what an interactive movie is, you’re not alone. This is the first interactive movie we’ve done at our library. Each participant was given the same script which directed them to do or say different things at certain points in the movie (i.e. yell “The boy who lived!” every time Harry’s full name is mentioned). They were also given a bag with props inside to go along with the script. Things like a wad of paper to throw at the troll on screen and a Hogwarts Train ticket. We also sorted them into houses using some fantastic custom made cookies! It was a great way to spend a Spring Break day!
Thanks to all who came!
