Last week we celebrated Banned Books Week. If you’ve never heard of it before, Banned Books Week is a celebration of the Freedom to Read and sponsored by the American Library Association. The 2018 theme was “Banning Book Silences Stories.” If you’re interested in learning more, check out the ALA’s webpage HERE.
We celebrated here at WSPL by having a fun “Caught Reading Banned Books” photo booth. This was such a hit that we plan on doing it again next September! And to top it off, we even made the news!
Below are a few of the mug shots taken throughout the week!
