Over the last year, area newspapers (most on microfiche) dating back over 100 years have been collected and digitized so that they can be available for anyone to search through online. The Wellman Advance, Kalona News, Washington Evening Journal and many more are now available to you going back as far as the 1800’s! You can search by people, places or events. Anyone can use this collection so you won’t need your library card. Take a moment to check it out and explore. Feel free to call us at the library with questions.
