Class Description:
Decoupaged Bottles
Let’s do our part to reuse, renew, and recycle. We will use old wine and liquor bottles to create a gorgeous decorate piece for your home. You can use it as a bud vase, a simple decorative addition to your home, or a handmade gift for a friend.
We start with empty bottles. (You are welcome to bring your own if you have a uniquely shaped bottle you would like to use. Otherwise we have plenty to pick from.
We then add layers of interesting papers. You can choose from handmade papers for texture, beautiful gift wrap papers, scrapbook papers, and more. (Again, if you have a favorite color theme, feel free to bring some papers to use and share.) We even use napkins, newspaper, comics….so many ideas.
After the paper is to your liking, you can then add additional embellishment. Locks, nuts, watch parts, ribbon, beads, buttons, leaves, pine cones….. Follow your impulse. We will provide a limited amount of this ephemera, so again you are welcome to bring something you love for your creation.
This project takes approximately 2 hours and is suitable for both men and women. We will provide appropriate papers for all tastes.
This workshop always creates a spirit of comradarie, as your fellow classmates ask for suggestions of you get feedback on your project.
Come join us for this fun workshop.
