The holiday break is over and we are looking at the long Winter ahead of us. The librarians here at WSPL have decided that we need to have more fun during this bleak season. (We’re Summer people. Can you tell?) To keep cabin fever at bay we are currently working hard to plan some fun events for our patrons!
Coming up next week on Tuesday, January 9th we will be having our first Senior Device Advice program. We are inviting anyone who needs a little tech help with their devices to bring them to the library and we can help you get them set up and figure out some of the basics to get you feeling more tech savvy. While we are a far cry from the I.T. department, we should be able to help with most common tech problems and set up for new gadgets. We’ll even put a pot of coffee on to warm you up while you’re here! This will be a monthly program, happening the second Tuesday of every month at 1:00 PM.
And because we can’t forget the kiddos, we are throwing a Minion Party on January 15th! With a 4 day weekend from school, we thought you might need something to do on one of your days off. If you are unfamiliar with what exactly a minion is, watch the movie Despicable Me. You wont be disappointed, we promise. At this Minion party we will be watching Despicable Me 3, making some fun Minion crafts, having a photo booth, a snack, and more!
We have also started a Winter Reading Challenge. We have separate challenges for adults, preteens/teens, and children. We have prizes for anyone who completes a challenge! Stop in today for your bookmark to get started!
We are cooking up some fun programs for February as well. So be sure to check back in for more details!
