Today, September 8th is Pardon day. This is a great day to exercise your manners or an opportunity to ask for forgiveness. Pardon Day stems from a famous presidential pardon but while most of us wont be issuing any of those, we can try and forgive a grudge we’ve been holding on to or use this day as an excuse to reaffirm your manners by saying “Pardon Me”, “Excuse Me” or even a short “Pardon!” will do.
But here at the Wellman-Scofield Library we are going to celebrate Pardon Day by pardoning ALL of the late fees currently on our system (*excluding lost items)! Seriously! If you’ve been avoiding checking out something because of a looming fine, breathe easy because all has been forgiven!
HAPPY PARDON DAY!!
